Cancer is the third leading cause of death in Kenya after infectious and cardiovascular diseases. The country records approximately 47,000 new cancer cases and 33,000 deaths annually.

Our oncology research programs are aimed at unearthing new insights regarding the prevention of cancer, new avenues for early diagnosis, and safe, effective and affordable cancer treatments.

There remain many barriers to access to information on cancer management as well as to existing healthcare resources and facilities in Kenya. Our outreach programs actively promote cancer awareness and education, for lifestyle changes and behaviour modification through online and in-person programs in remote villages.
