Cancer is the third leading cause of death in Kenya after infectious and cardiovascular diseases. The country records approximately 47,000 new cancer cases and 33,000 deaths annually.
Integrated Cancer Research Foundation (ICRF) is a non-profit research organization based in Nairobi that was founded to address the burden of cancer in Kenya through evidence-based research. We are a growing team of volunteer members engaged in research and awareness activities in Kenya and abroad.
Our oncology research programs are aimed at unearthing new insights regarding the prevention of cancer, new avenues for early diagnosis, and safe, effective and affordable cancer treatments.
We promote cancer awareness and education by through community programs to inform the public about cancer prevention, diagnosis, and management.
Coordinate clinical outreach and cancer treatment in underserved areas, including cancer screening and detection programs, and empower local healthcare workers with vital information, tools and resources to combat cancer.
We conduct outreach programs that aim to inform, educate, and empower scholars and members of the public in addressing a myriad of cancer issues in the society.
As part of our mandate, we conduct cancer awareness and education events to educate the public about cancer with the goal of empowering and encouraging individuals to make informed decisions about their health and help mitigate on the impact of cancer on the society.
Our access and education programs are aimed at providing informational and training programs to up-coming scholars on topical cancer research topics as well as provide information on learning and research opportunities available around the world.
