Edwin Ochomo

Head of Outreach DIvision

Edwin is a laboratory scientist with a BSc. Microbiology and a Master of Public Health (Epidemiology) training and is currently a PhD candidate at Maseno University specializing in Public Health. Edwin has a wealth of experience in laboratory science having worked for over 10 years in both clinical and research laboratories. He worked as a laboratory scientist at various KEMRI-MOH/FACES project sites between 2010 and 2017 then as a laboratory mentor at Nyakach sub-County, Kisumu between 2017 and 2021. He currently work as a study coordinator for the TB-COVID study at KEMRI-RCTP and the Opt4Studies at University of Washington Kenya. Edwin has a wealth of experience in public health research with bias towards cervical cancer prevention and treatment. He currently a post-graduate fellow with the AMPATH U54 mentorship program and the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine Early Career research training.
